Frequently Asked Questions

How often are commissions paid?

It is important to understand that commission payment procedures vary depending upon the rate inventory category of the booking. There are five inventory classes that can be booked through CCRAtravel.com. They are:

Inventory Class

Enchanced Commission Program
15% Commission
Pre-Pay CCRA Net Rates
Set Your Own Commission
Internet Discount
Comparable to Hotels.com
10% Commission
Promotional GDS Rates
8% Commission
CCRA Preferred Rate Program
8% Commission

Beginning in November of 2009, CCRA implemented new commission payment procedures. CCRA issues commission checks on a weekly basis according to the guidelines in this document. To understand when you can expect your commission, based on the rate category of the booking you made, please see below.

COMMISSION/Express
COMMISSION/Express is a pre-paid inventory class with a guaranteed commission of 15%. Commission is earned at the time of booking and is paid within 10 days (that is, during the next weekly payment cycle)

Refundable: COMMISSION/Express bookings may be cancelled within the guidelines of the individual hotel’s cancellation policy at time of booking. However, a cancellation fee will be charged. Commission on these bookings has already been paid to the agent and will not be refunded.

CCRA Net Rate Bookings:

CCRA will pay your entire commission mark-up within 10 days of the initial booking. Commissions are reconciled each Wednesday and checks are mailed each Friday.

Non-Refundable: Net rates are non-refundable.

Hotel Inventory - CCRA, Promo and Internet inventories:
Commission is subject to individual hotel policy and normally based on the completion date of the stay. Commission, if applicable, is paid by CCRA within 10 days of receipt of payment from the hotel which is normally 30-45 days after guest checkout.

Internet Discount Rate Booking

The client's credit card is charged at the time of booking. At the time of booking, pay special attention to any change or cancellation fees. In order to receive your commission the customer must arrive at the hotel and complete the stay as confirmed.

Cancellations: If the reservation is cancelled or the client is a "no-show" your commission is forfeited. Your client's credit card will show "the inventory supplier" as the merchant of record.

How can I track my commissions?

You have complete access to all your bookings.

  1. Click on the 'Reports' tab to view commission amount and status.
  2. You will be able to track cancellations, stay changes, paid and outstanding commission.
  3. Not sure of a commission status? Click the Inquiry button to send an immediate email to the CCRA Customer Service Manager.

What are the criteria for commission payments?

A reservation must actually be completed by the customer, meaning they arrived at the hotel as arranged and did not cancel their hotel reservation. Once the reservation has been consumed, we must collect the commission from the supplier. After we collect, we will pay your commission on the next weekly commission cycle.

A Few Tips to remember

Prepaid Reservations:

CCRA Net Rates and COMMISSION/Express - Guaranteed commissions, faster.

On NET rates, you determine your own commission rate. And since Net Rates are prepaid and non-refundable, you receive your full commission within 2 weeks of the booking transaction date.

CCRA is the "merchant of record". Pre-Paid supplier vouchers can be downloaded, at the time of booking, and provide 24/7 customer service information. Your client's credit card will show CCRA as the merchant of the charge.

COMMISSION/Express 15% commission is also guaranteed and paid within 10 day. If the reservation cancels, there is a cancellation penalty on the price of the booking. Since your commission has already been paid, the commission amount is subtracted from the refund.

Non-Prepaid Reservations:

In general, US domestic hotels pay commissions within 30-45 days of departure. CCRA has partnered with Pegasus, TACS and WPS to ensure your commissions are paid. International Hotels pay commissions on average 60-90 days after departure. CCRA invoices all international hotels within 10 days of your client's departure. CCRA is unable to open a new commission inquiry submitted after 6 months of completion of the hotel stay.

Commission Payment Status codes:

Reservation was cancelled with the hotel and no commission is owed.
Room rate was non-commissionable at the time of booking or the hotel and guest made arrangements outside of the original portal booking.
A reservation was held for the guest and they did not show as confirmed.
Your commission has been received from the hotel and is being processed for payment on the next payment cycle.
Your commission has been paid.

A Note to Agency Portal Administrators

Please take a moment to review your agency profile to ensure your Federal Tax ID is included. No commissions will be paid to US agents without this information. To ensure timely payments, it is important that you update your profile with any changes as they occur.
